Before there was Chris Brown, there was the original bad boy, BOBBY BROWN! Now look I remember the first time laid eyes on Bobby Brown and his asymmetrical hightop fade. I was too damn young and was too busy blaming him for all my shenanigans as a kid. This is a true story, ask my mom. I’m sure she gets more laughs out of telling this story than the “I don’t want no honey” story!
Well anyway, Bobby Brown sang into my heart with his smooth vocals (shout out to Babyface and his writing skills), crazy dope style and bad boy antics. I legit thought I was going to marry Bobby Brown and I was kinda heart broken when he married Whitney. I found them to such an odd couple.
The king of R&B turns 50 today and I want to take a look back at his style. Then you can see why he was singing girls out of their panties. Also, “Don’t be Cruel” is such a classic album. I had to have it on vinyl. Actually, everything sounds better on vinyl.
