3 years ago today, our beloved Beyoncé dropped the inconic “Formation” video. While police across the country were in an uproar in regards to what they called an “anti police” video, I was driving through Coldwater Canyon getting highway hypnosis because I had this song on repeat. I’n not joking. I had to pull over and take a breather because I was hynostised by the rubber band sound throughout the song.
Anyway, who knew that would be the prelude an amazing visual album that would spark convsertsations, debates and think pieces across the globe. Formation was penned by Swaelee of Rae Sremmurd, and visually is, very, very black.
Formation was the most googled song in 2016 and went on to win video of the year at The Grammy’s.
Also, I wore that Gucci Outfit BEFORE Beyoncé! She stays shopping in my closet!
